myVEGAS is one of my favorite ways to get FREE rooms, meals, and shows in Las Vegas. The best part is that you don’t have to gamble any real money to do it, and you can earn rewards by playing games from home before your trip!

myVEGAS is a suite of four different slot games that can be played on your phone and/or Facebook. Since we’ve all already forfeited our privacy to Mark Zuckerberg, we might as well reap the benefits; linking your account to Facebook will help you earn more points, and allow you to backup and combine your points from all four games to maximize redemptions. You can download/visit the apps by clicking the convenient links below:

  • POP! Slots (iOS/Android/Facebook)
  • myKONAMI Slots (iOS/Android/Facebook)
  • myVEGAS Slots (iOS/Android/Facebook)
  • myVEGAS Blackjack (iOS/Android/Facebook)

The points you earn through gameplay can be redeemed for a variety of comps through various partners, including MLife resorts. This includes the following casino/hotels in Las Vegas:

  • Aria
  • Bellagio
  • Circus Circus
  • Excalibur
  • Luxor
  • Mandalay Bay
  • Mirage
  • MGM Grand
  • New York New York
  • Park MGM
  • Vdara

These comps range from discounted rooms and BOGO buffet deals, all the way to free show tickets and free nights (minus the resort fee). Comps vary by hotel, as does pricing.

You will play games using myVEGAS chips, denoted by the blue V. These are what you will wager and win/lose on each game. You will receive a large chip bonus once each day that you sign into a game; if you sign in for consecutive days, these bonus chips will be multiplied. There are also smaller bonuses that can be collected every two hours (after redeeming the BONUS, a countdown timer will appear), as well as gifts that may appear in your inbox if you send/receive chips from friends through Facebook.

There will be multiple pop ups that will offer you deals on chip packages for purchase. You can do these if you would like, but you do not have to! I’ve never made any in-app purchases, and I have still redeemed multiple comps.

As you play, you earn Loyalty Points (LPs), which are denoted by the gold coins with a V on them. There should be a display in the middle of the top bar that shows how many LPs you have collected. These are what you will redeem for comps.

In this screenshot from an ill-fated blackjack run, I have 67,818 LPs and 667 coins.

The bar on the left indicates the progress towards the next disbursement of LPs. The sliding meter will fill with each bet, and after you reach the end, the level on the coin will increase. Once the coin gets full, they will float up to the balance in the top bar. The meters will fill faster the more chips that you’re betting, but be careful not to run out of chips like I did, or you can’t earn any LPs until you get more chips!

The best strategy to maximize your LP earnings is to bet as many chips as you can. Some of the games offer challenges, which can help you earn more chips and/or LPs when you complete them.

Signing in daily and maintaining your streak will ensure that you get the most possible chips, which will help you earn LPs faster.

One counterintuitive option once you’ve got a decent amount of LPs accumulated is to not play for a prolonged period. I (and many members of the myVEGAS Friends Rock Facebook Group) have experienced a glitch/feature (nobody is sure if it’s intentional) where if you uninstall the app and don’t play for a couple of months, your LPs skyrocket. This happened to me when I jumped from 40,000 to 160,000 LPs after not playing for 3 months. Your mileage may vary.

You can redeem your Loyalty Points for comps by selecting the “Rewards” menu on the bottom of the screen. Here, you can browse by property, price, or categories. Looking around here can be useful, as it will give you an idea of how many LPs you need to earn for your desired comps.

The rewards are restocked periodically; usually between 10am and 2pm CST. So if a reward you want is sold out, keep checking back daily until it’s available. I was able to secure the popular LOVE comp ticket after checking obsessively for a few days, so don’t give up!

Before purchasing a reward, be sure to read the terms and conditions. There are often blackout dates or additional requirements (like staying at an M Life property or spending a certain amount). It will also list the expiration date, and how long you have from “purchasing” the reward to needing to redeem it.

You will need an M Life card in your name to redeem any rewards.

If you purchase a reward and are unable to use it, you can go to your “wallet” in the app and return it, and you will receive your LPs back.

I am a member of the myVEGAS Friends Rocks group on Facebook, which has tons of useful information geared towards optimal myVEGAS earning and redemption. It is a closed group, however you shouldn’t have any difficulty getting accepted.

I highly recommend joining if you’d like to maximize your value from myVEGAS rewards; they are a treasure trove of knowledge, experience, and expertise, and know far more than I do!

I have redeemed loyalty points for the following rewards:

  • LOVE Comp Ticket (80,000 LPs): I had to check for a few days, but I was finally able to get this popular reward. It was very worth it, and I received a completely free ticket for LOVE in Section 209, Row S, Seat 34. I clicked through the link sent by myVEGAS, ordered it through M Life, and did not have to pay any fees. Excuse my pun, but I loved this show.
  • KA Comp Ticket (40,000 LPs) This reward was easier to get, and after spending the bulk of the show vacillating between wanting to sleep, get up and leave, or drink more, I see why. I was not a fan of KA. However, the redemption process was smooth. Just like my LOVE ticket, I was able to easily order my comped ticket through M Life without any fees.
